Graduate retail banking job interview | HSBC |
PositionHSBC graduate retail banking trainee Round3 of 3 Notes on the job interviewThis is a one-to-one interview and involves conducting role play with the interviewer. Job interview questions askedThis was very similar to the general human resource interview questions that were faced throughout the early job interview rounds. They asked why I wanted to work at HSBC? To tell them about a
time where I had to meet a certain deadline. It seemed generally better
to make this something outside education to stand
out from the crowd. They want me to go into more depth following the previous question. For example they asked when did you have to meet the deadline for, did you achieve the deadline and what could you have done differently? The interview then went on to have a role play section. This is not the usual human resources type interview. This part of the interview is attempting to find out how you deal with people and how you would cope in a real life situation. In the role play they give you a sheet of paper and you have ten minutes to read it. The paper contains details of a savings account. Then you have to act as the advisor and the interviewee is the customer. She states that she has an account and want a savers account. Then she asks specific details relating to the account such as: how much would she would save, discounts associated with the account, etc.
