Application cover letter
As I start out in my career in the charity sector I am keen to get as much varied experience as possible. In the short time I have been in my current role as fundraising officer at [previous employer], I have demonstrated myself to be a committed and skilled fundraiser and an integral member of the team. However, my aspiration is to work with an international humanitarian or development charity, hence your invaluable work on behalf of those orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS particularly appeals to me. I would relish the opportunity to work with and learn from you and to broaden my understanding and experience of different aspects of charity work, and make a real contribution to your work. I am a First Class postgraduate with excellent organisational and communication skills. My own research has proven me a motivated self- starter, and my academic and employment record demonstrates that I have the skills, experience and enthusiasm to make me the ideal candidate for the internship. I am confident, capable and thrive on variety, challenge and the knowledge that the work I do might make a real difference to people’s lives. I am very flexible in terms of working hours and days and would be very happy to commit to at least 3 months. I currently work 3 days per week at Central and Cecil and will available for 2 days a week when my paper is completed in September. Thank you in advance for your time and I look forward to hearing from you at the earliest convenience. Yours Sincerely, [sign your name ] [type your name ] This is an example of a cover letter. Make sure that you write a unique document that is relavant to the role you are applying for.
