Thank you letter

It is sometimes a good idea to write a short thank you letter following an interview. This will show your enthusiasm for the job and will provide you with the opportunity to provide additional information that may have been missed in the actual job interview.

This is an example thank you letter to give you an idea on how to write your own letter. Put your own information in place of the italics.

[Address]

[Employer's Name and Title]
[Employer's Address]

Dear [Employer name],

I would like to thank you for the opportunity you have given me for an interview for the [Job title]. The interview gave me the chance to learn more about the role and the organisation.

The role is very interesting and I am now even more enthusiastic about the prospects of undertaking this role. I know I have the necessary experience and qualifications to successful perform this role to the highest standards. As mentioned in the interview my [type of experiece] during my current [job or education] is particularly suited to the role.

If you need any further information then please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
