Sweaty palms

How to act at interview, shaking hands, dinner interviews, sitting down etc

Sweaty palms

Postby Seb » Thu Mar 06, 2008 12:36 am

I have sweaty palms at the best of times but when I'm going for interview and am a nervous they are really bad - damp even. As such I hate shaking hands when I go into the interview, and I'm sure this shows through and makes me look bad from the start. What should I do to try and beat this? Is they anything medical I can do or should I hope that the interviewer won't notice.

I think the more I worry about this the worse it gets and it really puts me off my stride from the moment I start the interview. Very annoying problem.

I would try not to worry about it, the more you worry the worse it will be.

I have this problem some times but then again I think a lot of people do, especially in the hot summer months. I think that people don't actually notice and will soon forget.

I have a good friend who suffers from this. He worried about it for a long time but it never seemed to hold him back.

He is now an executive director of a very big company. No one ever mentions his palms to him anymore!
