HR interviews

Do most graduate jobs have an HR-type interview within them? If so , is there any way to get out of them (doubtful, I know) or to make them less annoying dull and make your skills shine above the rest when you're being asked pretty crap questions?

Sadly most of them do. I guess with so many people going for the jobs they have to have a cheap and easy way to get rid of the people who are completely unsuitable.

The HR interviewers that do it well make the process a little less painful by turning it into a chat and giving the candidate more information about the company and the job. This will help to remove some of the applicants through a little more informed self selection.
